Editorial Design - Class Project
This editorial project explores the myth of Aphrodite through a contemporary visual lens, translating classical mythology into a modern, expressive publication. The concept centers on the goddess’s divine origin, ascension, and embodiment of beauty, using a strong typographic hierarchy, dramatic scale shifts, and carefully curated classical imagery to create contrast between power and softness, chaos and harmony. Bold, oversized type interacts with full-bleed artworks and quieter text passages, guiding the reader through different emotional moments of the narrative. The visual identity balances restraint and intensity, allowing typography and composition to carry the storytelling while honoring the timelessness of the myth. This project reflects my approach to editorial design as a narrative tool, where layout, rhythm, and visual tension work together to tell a story beyond the written word.
